I visited the beautiful Orient cafe and homewares store. I fell in love with their tactile ceramics collection and purchased a few pieces to use at home. I am now so happy to be stocking this exact range and wanted to share it with you. Please welcome Made in Japan to cravehome.
The pieces are handmade and have been carefully considered. Their beauty is in their simplicity.
We use the Nin Rin bowl at home for keeping eggs on our kitchen counter. I love the glaze and matte finish of the bowl, and I have added some plates to our range which are ideal for salads, vegetables and dips.
We had hoped to get this delivery of Robert Gordon ceramics in time for Christmas, but problems at the Auckland Port have meant that it's only just arrived. Anyway, we're very happy to have them back in stock - salad bowls in two sizes, these beautiful latte cups and some lovely vessels which make great vases.
Like half of Auckland, we headed into the Viaduct yesterday to watch the last America's Cup race. It's been a great spectacle with huge crowds cheering on the teams, and the bars and restaurants were busy trying to make up for lost time! As soon as Te Rehutai crossed the line, the bar staff handed out trays of these cans of Steinlager. This one's heading straight to the pool room. Have a great week, Jude x
