Welcome Citta Winter 2020

Thanks to a stampede last Thursday, Friday and Saturday we almost feel like lockdown was some kind of dream!  It's been so lovely seeing our happy customers - everyone is just delighted to be out and about (and not having to home school anymore).  We've got new deliveries coming, online orders going and the sun is shining!  It's just like the old days - except for the hand sanitiser and hourly cleaning!

Autumn is certainly upon us, and these colder nights are calling for an extra blanket or two!  Having been confined to home for all these weeks, I am now eyeing up the new season Citta winter collection with a view to refreshing my surroundings! 

I have been really drawn to this season's earthy colours - these cushions are beautiful linen with feather inners, so they're nice and squashy for the sofa. 

Ideal for the end of the bed or over the sofa - we have these beautiful soft velvet quilted throws in four delicious colours.  They measure 130cm by 180cm, are machine washable and are super cosy.

Once you find a cosmetic bag you love, you'll have it for years.  Each year, Citta release new designs that complement their textile direction.  I am loving this "Everyday" collection.  We have also added versatile linen utility bags in gingham and malt, which make a beautiful design story.

A new take on an old fave, the Apex collection of American Oak chopping boards feature gently bevelled edges and come in three sizes.  These are ideal for everyday kitchen use or for using as a grazing platter.  Store by stacking together - and add some kitchen accessories for a stylish bench top display.

It could be said that I have a cushion weakness - this is just a fraction of the beautiful designs we have in-store!  But as you can see, although there may be many makers, we can put together collections that are seamless, thoughtful and welcoming.  Cushions are such an easy way to freshen up your space - if you see anything you like please let us know!

What We've Been Watching ...

We have been glued to The Last Dance on Netflix - a 10 part documentary that covers legendary basketballer Michael Jordan's quest with the Chicago Bulls, for an unprecedented Repeat Three-Peat NBA Championship.  It's engrossing, entertaining and a really great watch - we were sad to get to the final episode.

Something else we've really loved on Netflix is the Formula 1 documentary series, Drive to Survive.  I'm by no means a petrolhead, but this is fantastic!  It's a beautifully done, behind-the scenes look at the big personalities, big bucks and big crashes that keep this circus on the road.

SLIPPER UPDATE

Just an update on our wildly popular Rachel sheepskin slipper - which sold out before Mother's Day.  We are putting another order together and will include the Pink and Grey along with a new colour, Oaten.  These are in production now and will be shipped to New Zealand when ready.  If you'd like to be added to our waiting list, please get in touch with me and I'll add you.
